Senior Home Care Services we offer include:
Meal Preparation
- Create a personalized meal menu
- Help with grocery shopping
- Preparing and serving the meal
- Washing dishes after the meal
Medication Reminders
- Oversee and remind client to administer their medications
- Keep a medication log that includes which days and times medication were taken
Light Housekeeping
- Change linens
- Clean toilet and tub/shower
- Wash, dry, fold and put away laundry
- Remove dust from furniture, countertops, and mirrors
- Sweep, vacuum and mop the floor
- Empty trash
Hygiene Care
- Assistance with oral care
- Assistance with showers (including gentle sponge bath, wet or dry foam wash)
- Assistance with lotions, deodorants, baby powders, etc. as needed
Errands
- Transporting clients to/from appointments (for example doctor visits, store, local business, special events)
- All caregivers are required to show proof of Auto Insurance
- Transportation miles are recorded when transporting clients in their car
Incontinence Care
- Assistance with undergarment changes, including depends, pads
- Assistance with incontinence cleaning using baby wipes and/or wash cloth
- Gloves must always be worn during any incontinence care procedures
Transfers
- Assistance with minimal transfers, to/from bed, chair, bathroom, and car
- Experienced caregivers with proper transfer training for nonweight bearing clients
Senior Exercise
- Caregiver will facilitate light stretch & exercise with client under the direction of ActiveCare
- Exercise will be monitored and tailored to fit the needs of the client, and will not be unsafe or hinder any physical limitations.
